    Those dome halves are for the 1950s Emerson Electric Aero 9 series turret for the Lockheed P2-V series "Neptune" as used by USN.

    Parts of a B-24

    The stainless steel bit in image no. 5 is part of a headset assembly that holds the rubber earcup unit to the headset band. One of the crewmembers was likely wearing that set at time of mishap.
