This is my selection and I think people always forget about the old B-26. The P-38 was used alot during WWII for recon missions.8)
I belive the most dangerous mission was for the American Army ploits who had to fly there P-38's to hunt down and kill Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto.:rolleyes:
This beautiful aircraft could and did meet the American Mustang and the best German fighters on equal footing. On Aug 2, 1943 6 MC.205's did attack 20 American P-38's and P-40's shooting down 6 of them with a loss of only 1 MC.205.
