(Been away for a LONG time... Hello again!)
Rochie is right.
The nose profiles were completely different, with the E having a marked angle down from the MG "furrows" towards the spinner; The F had a bigger spinner with a more aerodynamic, gentle line. The F's spinner was bigger, and the...
I think having a single seater is a bit like masturbation. Alone. I'd want some huge crate like a Lanc or a Halibag I could cart all my mates round in too, so we could all have a good time!
So being reasonable, and unable to separate the RAF from their last Lanc, I'll have a Mitchell.
OK, Spitfire - but which mark? For pure air-air, I'd go for the MkXIVe with the RR Griffon engine and two-stage compressor - BEAUTIFUL! Lines and performance.
Doing anything other than air-air with a Spit is sacrilege, so I won't even mention it.
The European Union is busy passing more legislation to curb free speech and expression; I don't like Nazis or holocaust deniers, etc, and my father spent his young years dropping bombs on them, but if some stupid arse wants to wear an SS uniform in the street and get his head kicked in for it...
Actually, in between times, some RAF Spits carried A-type roundels on the wing undersides, but further out towards the tips, beyond the pitot housing; the underside colour wasn't standardized as Sky type S yet either, but a variety of blues/greens were used. That goes for July/August 1940...
ICM decals are rubbish - prone to silvering, and poor adhesive. Bin them immediately, and don't even THINK of using them. If you want US decals for a 1/48th Spit V or VIII, get Aeromaster's.
It rather depends what the tanks are to be used for, I'd have thought. In afghanistan, for example, they are not going to be engaging in long-range tank-to-tank combat with modern, up-to-date tanks. They are going to be used for SP pillboxes with the potential for infantry support. It isn't...
Obviously lost track of the thread, but before calling your children something too mindless, try reading this:

Says it all, really.
I used to be a GPMG (FN MAG) gunner at one stage during my training - very good weapon! If you don't believe me, then why have nearly all the "serious" users preferred it over the M-60? Start with South Africa, Rhodesia, Israel, UK, New Zealand, etc, etc... I thought that apart from the belt...
No, sorry, no Hampdens as yet... That's a Baltimore. Maybe one day, but give us all a chance!
There is a Lancaster, Stirling and Halifax available at Avhistory.org, along with a number of B-17Gs, all freeware.
Having said that, you do need a decent stockpile to hand - think of the rate at which you can get through ammo of all types - in case you have to use it fast. Look at the stuff the British are having to use; junk, because Blair's Government didn't buy in enough at the right time. And if you are...
