Leslie Nielsen was an air gunner in the RCAF.
Incidentally, Lorne Greene got his start as a radio correspondent with CBC during the war. Dubbed "The Voice of Doom".
It's also been released on VHS/DVD as Operation Braindrain, I think. Good flick.

I wish someone up here would do something similar from the Canadian perspective, for Canadian audiences. It would be even more interesting and accurate if one of the locales was in Québec, to give the full feel of how the war was regarded back...
