Little known but excellent reading is "Damned to Glory" by Robert L. Scott and his
more well known "God is my Co-Pilot".
Also the obscure but interesting "Chennault of China" and I can't remember the author's name
but it was written in the late '40's and it was not by Scott.

After reviewing the past suggested builds I kinda lean to these : 1942 any a/c. any Japanese a/c. CBI Theater (which obviously includes Japanese a/c, any captured and re"marked" a/c,
and Heavy Hitters (specifically any bomber). My two bits.
Sounds like the Ballentine books to me. I had 62 of them that I recently donated to Goodwill. Couldn't find anyone I knew who was interested in taking them.
Another possibility might be the Time/Life Series of books on WW II. Just a thought.

was originally all set up by Wingnut before they expired.
If none of the commercial products mentioned above are available a thick coat of just powdered laundry detergent
mixed with water to a heavy consistency and brushed over the chrome will take it off in about 24 hours.
