  • oftch, that is a very coooool model collection, and you did an excellant job on every one, from what I can see. I love that Moonbat. I've been wanting to get one for quite a while. Keep building, man.
I started in 1/48 years ago but went to 1/72 for space.I now have a 12 X 20 room filled with 1/72 aircraft. I've been doing 1/72 for so long it doesn't seem small to me,even though my eyes are starting to go.I have photos of the model room at community.webshots.com/user/otftch.

I just stumbled on your 1/72 Do-17Z-2 and all I can say is WOW!!!!

How did you achieve that paint job in such small scale? AMAZING!
    Hey, got your message!

Yeah, if you have windows, try converting the .BMP to a .JPG with MS Paint, which is found in Start>Programs>Accessories. Once Paint is loaded, you can click File then Open. You should be able to navigate to the folder were you have your image(s) and select the image file to open. Once loaded, click File then select Save As. In the dialog box, you'll find File Type beneath the file name, in there, click JPEG and then click the Save button. It'll save your .JPG image to the folder where the original was unless you specify a different path.
Thanks Ed.. will try it on some scrap plastic and such. It seems most mottles arent done with an airbrush!
I use a small flat edged brush and kind of lay it sideways onto the model and wiggle it.Hold it like a spoon and move it sideways until you get the shapes you want.Play with it first to get it right.

Hey ed! Was wondering how you did your mottle on the current picture of the plane in "Whats on the workbench". My heinkel kind of has that pattern but more spread out.

    Thanks!
