well im 47 and live in michigan. i've loved warbirds for as long as i can remember. as you can see by my name my father flew out of polebrook england with the 351st bg on b-17's. he flew 35 missions as a navigator. this little hobby of mine drives my wife nuts, i have books,videos,prints diecast...

they were all good. advantages and disadvantages. but for me its the 17 for the durability and firepower. if you had a choice between a b24 or b17 you'd be nuts to climb in a 24, one engine out and you're going down almost for certain. my father flew in 17's and was grateful he did.

nice pics, just thought i'd mention most of your pics are from the Udvar Hazey museum located at Dulles airport which is part of the air and space museum. also the B-29 is the Enola Gay.
