Plumbing to nowhere - or not?
I'm doing the G-10 Italian conversion version of this kit. Looking at the options for all but the Italian one there is either the auxiliary fuel tank or just the framing to hold one illustrated. The Italian illustration shows neither.

Late chiming in, to common lately, but the build is impressive as always. I've been avoiding GW kits (to many disappointments, or lack of the correct skills), but this one appears to have been a trouble free build, cleanup and fit wise?
No. I ordered (actually mistakenly twice) from Scalehobby, on line. Best prices that I've found on Vallejo (or any) paint. Better yet, I don't have to pay state sales tax and their shipping is reasonable.

Color on. Used Vallejo Gloss Sea Blue (71.300). First time I also added the Vallejo Thinner and Flow Improver. Very pleased with outcome. Glossy enough that I can apply decals and not have to do a 'gloss' coat first. Other bits painted as well, so it shouldn't be long before this bird has legs...
Looking at Bill's F4U-1A build I'm back with another color question. Bill's is a 1/48 scale so that my be the difference, that and being a 1A? The wheel bays are called, on both, my 1D and Bill's 1A as being the 'cockpit green' (Tamiya XF-3:XF-5 mix). But the wheel cover insides are not called...
