This is Monogram's 1/48 scale PT-17 Stearman. A dainty quarter scale kit that Monogram finally released not long ago. It has fine detail and construction was fairly straight forward. Wing alignment and rigging was a test in patience. A fun build and a great trainer in WWII aviation history...

Hey Catch...... you are correct! I just went on to view it.....same plane. The model looked like a German color scheme though. Ebay- $68.00!!! My build was to represent an early Spring 1946 version.... when the cherry trees started to bloom in Japan.

In response to your Godzilla movie..... Here is another J7W1 Shinden animation movie.... "The Sky Crawlers" a interesting animated movie show casing excellent J7W1 images and other aircraft! "Oriental movie" with strangely illustrated characters and very detailed hardware. And, a good plot...
