An experimental '109, the WerkN.5604 - VK+AB, during the development of the F series. The kit is an Academy '109 E with engine and propeller taken from an Italeri '109 F. Probably it's not 100% accurate, but I'm still working on it ^^
Another Airfix '109 G6: this is the first bagged edition. The strange livery came from Sixties instruction sheet, so the plain "Mid Stone" wings aren't due to my laziness...
The WORST of the many ;-)... the infamous Messerschmitt Bf109 E by Starfix. Official scale 1/48, effective scale 1/55. Probably the worst kit in the model history: looks like an enlarged Airfix '109G without fuselage bulges and with a different spinner, to not mention the underwing bombs (!) and...
Thanks to all, I'll post more pictures in the future...
Absolutely! Anything larger than 1/72 scale push me out of my workspace (and then out of my home! )
One of the worst kits of all time, The Pioneer2 Spitfire MkVc... too short, too slim, no wheel wells, terrible propeller (I used another one from an anonimous donor kit ^_^)
I used it to experiment how miniature painting techniques can be applied to model warplanes (the picture is a lot on the...
Messerschmitt Me209 V5, scratchbuilt with parts of various aircrafts, all recovered from my bits box: 2 x Airfix Bf109 G-6 (fuselage, wings), Airfix Fiat G.50 (engine cowling), Matchbox Mosquito (rudder), Airfix Fw190 D9 (propeller), Matchbox Ju88 (engine front), Heller Bf109 G-6 (compressor...
These are some of my completed airplane kits... I like to build older kits, so you can find in this thread something strange...
The first is an old Focke Wulf FW190 by Matchbox, converted to long range escort/bomber duty with a pair of auxiliary fuel tanks from older Revell '190 kits
