    Focke Wulf in Moscow

I agree it's a FrankenDora - looks to me like mostly a D13 with a standard 190 canopy and tail grated on as the Dora stab had an extra slice making it wider (not as wide as Ta, but more than a A/F/G - about 3-4"?)

    B-26 Marauder Documentary

Anyone know when it's coming, the paywall prevents seeing any details?

Must be nice to be appreciated and have your work become a gold standard in two languages! Of course, it's easy with this book... Congratulations again!

    Identifying different P51-Ds

For a lot less work, though not for free, among the best single sources for detailed version info (with breakdown by mfg blocks, etc.) are the two P-51 books (Early - A/B and Late - D/K, plus the experimental lightweight F/G/H/J variants) available here...

    Luftwaffe Drop Tanks

What is the best source for details on these? While it's nowhere near as deep a rabbit's hole as most topics here, I'll assume (being German and all) it's more complex than the 3 or 4 types that seem to be common in most photos of Luftwaffe a/c with drop tanks. Web-page? Book? Thread here?

    P-51 Mustang Research Tools

OK, thanks for clarifying that, I didn't know the 6-gun wing planning went back that far.

    P-51 Mustang Research Tools

If that drawing tree shows the evolution of the 51B to the 51D, shouldn't the wing design also show the changes in the inner leading edge where the D model added the darts that widened near the fuselage? I'm not criticizing it, just curious why that wouldn't be there, there are no 'dotted' lines.

"Turbo/Supercharger Compressors and Turbines for Aircraft Propulsion in WWII" sent to press via ASME

Thanks very much for these comments, Calum. Since the book is available in only a few days, I'll do as you suggest and wait for comments/reviews. And as you will likely get your author's copy relatively early in the process, please do leave comments in this thread about the PoD quality, image...

"Turbo/Supercharger Compressors and Turbines for Aircraft Propulsion in WWII" sent to press via ASME

Looks excellent, and though not cheap, it is the cheapest book available on this subject. :) Is there any content on the turbo used in the BV-155 project, presumably one of the most advanced DB/turbo configurations of the war? Also, have you seen any examples of the "Print on Demand" process...

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at the National Air and Space Museum reopening

I'd say it's highly recommended even if you have been there before! Next to USAF in Dayton and USB in Pensacola, it's about as good as it gets.

German Jet Engines: Possible New Book

Yes, PLEASE. I would order both new books immediately if possible, as a show of support. :) The new Turbo/Turbines book looks like an excellent follow-on to your delightful Horsepower Race book, I look forward to going back and forth between them when re-reading. Please post a notice here...

"The Secret Horsepower Race" - Available to pre-order

It's an odd, but unusually nice story actually. I'm in US, so I ordered it from Amazon months ago and it was supposed to become available on Dec 9th. That day, I got an email saying the item was delayed (IIRC, to January), so I contacted Amazon and only then found the book was already listed...

"Junkers Aircraft and Engines, 1913-1945" by Antony L. Kay

How is it? How many pages and is it well illustrated? How much detail is there on the development of the 213? Thanks in advance.
