It would seem that the poor old F-5B is the least understood aircraft of all time. In Europe they were very common (KLu mainly) and so any two-seater was an F-5B. Yet any time I post a photo of an F-5B I get "that's a T-38!" and then the dialogue above ensues...

    SAAB Globaleye....

I'm just reading Robin Olds' autobiography, particularly the period he spent at the Pentagon. Don't assume 'lots smarter'.

American Dam Busters - The legacy continues

I'd like to endorse this statement to the full.

I do not know if this is real or a beat up but I would like to know more on it.

Reminds me of a published story that at the time of the Indian Partition one side spiked the Tiger Moths being allocated to the "other side" by putting sugar in the fuel tanks of the aircraft. And it "gummed up" the engines "as intended"! That one is easy to disprove on basic chemistry alone...

"AI" videos - how bad can they get?

Give it a while and someone will be asking if it really is AI, or going into great depth about the propellers being wrong for a B-29...

2025 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Phil Hanson, Ye Yifei and Robert Kubica in Hypercar; Tom Dillmann, Jakub Śmiechowski and Nick Yelloly in LMP2; Dane Cameron, Louis Delétraz and PJ Hyett in LMP2 Pro-Am and Ryan Hardwick, Richard Lietz and Riccardo Pera in GT3. One of the many joys of endurance racing is the depth of talent and...

Being something of an Inter Europol fan, I loved that part of the story. I just wish they'd sort out some merchandise!

Not even that complimentary: the Swedes referred to the SAAB 29 as "Tunnan", literally "The barrel".

    Aircraft part found in France

Seems to be a lot of amnesia around nowadays. Some of us remember these types very well.

A personal one for me. Back when I was a teenager in the 1970s I went to an airshow at RNAS Yeovilton, UK and being an avid Starfighter fan, watched the Marineflieger F-104G display from start to finish. Sadly as the pilot made his final approach to land after his display the nose of the...

You won't regret it; we've been going one and off since 1990 and the kids have caught the bug now :)

2025 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Race of the year, and this year even more competitive than for many a decade. My hopes are for a JOTA win but in fairness I don't really mind who wins. But the depth of talent through the field is incredible: we have world-class talents like Renger van der Zande, Andre Lotterer and Tristan...

Dream liner down in India on air port

Looks from the start to be a flapless departure.
