Yes I use 1/48th scale too. I have around 20 models but theyre mainly Modern Era planes. I have nearer 40 models if you include the non-avation models.

The shape of the planes in that plan view posted up there look very odd to me, was it common for planes of WWII to have that type of construction?

I agree, as I work in a TVR dealership I go to a lot of the motorshows held there. Traffic becomes a problem though.
