Hello Soren:
"Btw the K-4's began running at 1.98ata from Dec. 44. and top speed was 452 mph with this setting."
Do you have a primary source and Kurvenblatt showing this, thanks! You wouldn't be getting your datas, as well as your attitude from that Hungarian would you? :roll...
WIth respect to flags painted under the cockpit: The JG 26 War Diary, page 133 has the following caption under a photo: The BF 109E-7 of the 3rd Staffel's Lt. Robert Menge. Note the row of flags beneath the cockpit; these represented the European nations Menge helped to conquer. I recall...
Its my understanding that the 450 mph figure for a Bf 109 K4 is based on estimates using a non-standard thin-bladed propeller. Somewhere around 444 mph would be about right using the standard production 9.12159 propeller. All 109K charts that I've seen are based on calculations from...
All 109s and 190s wore the Nazi party symbol and were in effect the Nazi's right fist utilized in the furtherance of their goals. To deny this is delusional.
You try to discredit this guy on one hand, then use his material on the other? Did you think to ask him for a reference before trashing his integrity or motives? Why didn't you find your own chart instead of using one from someone you distrust? Maybe you'll do anything on a forum to advance...
Umm, its obvious, RG_Lunatic said it and WE KNOW HE HAS A VERY HIGH PRO-AMERICAN BIAS! Can't trust a word those arrogant american's say. It is funny though to think he thinks any American plane could out-turn a Spit. He probably thinks P-40 is better than BF 109 too  All British all...
Yes Udet, we would have won the war if it began in Januar 1942 and ended, oh about Autumn 1942 before the spitfire 9 came out in competitive numbers :) No doubt!! Start the war in 1939 or even 1943? hmm... I wish, but doubtful ;)
Well, of course I like the BF 109 best, however, we lose credibility when we claim the 109 had better range than the Mustang, could dive better than a P-47 and turn better than the Spitfire. :)
With regard to your 90% figure, ok I’ll bite ;)

Hallo Soren:
Hmmm. did you look at the excerpt from 19 Squadron's Operations Record Book describing action? What source could there be that would trump this documented historic record? Could you share that with us? Thanks!
Oh, I would love to converse with Marseilles, however that's not...
Greets:
Apparently the Spitfire F. Mk. 21 was operational before war's end. See Operational Record Book from No. 91 Squadron Here
I wouldn't try turning my 109 against a Spit if my life was on the line...
If by "best" one looks at how the varient stacked up against its comtemporaneous adversaries, I'd say the Bf 109F was "best". Early '42 was when the 109, imo, had the largest edge over its opposition.
p.s. I found those Spit/109 comparisons copied above at...
Spit XIV vrs Mustang is a tough one. I'll go with what the AFDU wrote: "...no conclusions can be drawn, as these two aircraft should never be enemies. The choice is a matter of taste." :)
