    Scratch building material?

Actually, I don't mean complete scratch building but rather adding details like reliefs and beams to the sides of the cockpit or inside the fuselage.. Everyone seem to use some kind of sheet of white material cut to the proper size with an exacto-knife. I'd love to know what material that...

1/48th Tamiya zero rufe fighter with water base

Ah, the explanation for the jetty makes sense.. The wood probably soaked up the entire wash, not sure but perhaps you could use matt varnish or something, might make the wood soak up less of the wash so you can paint it. But I still think it needs some more detail or depth to look like it...

1/48th Tamiya zero rufe fighter with water base

Ah sorry about that, I was almost certain with some of the signs you left in this sentence "it was producted when Tamiya is still in 小鹿,not 恩田原 now." (I only recognize the sign for small and the sign for ricefield) I forgot that those are actually Chinese signs which are used by Japanese as...

    Scribing tools?

hm, pin vice, if only I knew what it was called in Swedish, been googling it but no luck :< Wurger, thanks, I guess I'll just get the cheap one of those two. I assume it removes the plastic instead of just shoving it to the sides?

1/48th Tamiya zero rufe fighter with water base

Awesome job, but no images of the finished result of the Rufe? (maybe I misunderstood when you said you finished it a month ago?) I love the engine idea, I'm now thinking of doing the same thing with my zero, and add a battery in the droptank along with an on/off switch.. あなた は 日本人 でしょうか。...

    KI 61 Hien Hasegawa 1/32

Oh, so you melt it, I thought those were wooden sticks.. I'm guessing it's easy to remove with a bit of force, but strong enough to last while painting? I thought you were using Blu-Tack, so I bought some and it works rather well for basic paintwork, but it's not very stable and the pieces...

    Japanese Willow Type 93 1/32

I think some very light weathering and shading would be nice, but not too much.. Too much weathering and it will look like a mess, but no weathering and shading at all and it looks like a plastic toy, just some shading around panel lines and details would make it look more alive..

    KI 61 Hien Hasegawa 1/32

In the images on the first page you've attached all the cockpit interior stuff like the seat and such to some kind of rod stuck into a black thingy with holes in it.. Was curious as to how you made it stick to the rod? At the moment I'm using some kind of sticky dough (not sure what it's...

    Scribing tools?

I'm in dire need of a scribing tool.. At the moment I'm using a knife and I keep slipping and making nasty scratches outside of the lines.. I also tried using a needle but it's to small to hold.. I need something that's produced by any of the larger brands if I'm gonna be able to find it in...

Hasegawa A6M3 type:22 Zero (rookie builder)

I got a bit disappointed at how messy the interior became with the wash, but I really want to get the cockpit over with. I managed to get some more work done, dry brushed the whole interior, painted the rudder bar and instrument panel with the throttle on, and the stick. And it's now time...

1/48 Fokker D. VII 'Ernst Udet'

Now I'm very tempted to try it.. I'd fail horribly but it would be good practice! :) It's a cheap old kit anyways, I'd rather get a new more expensive ones with decals included, but thanks for the tip..

Hasegawa A6M3 type:22 Zero (rookie builder)

Wash and some weathering applied, I went a bit crazy with it, would have preferred if it was more discreet, I also feel like there might be some paint chipping in the wrong places.. Edit: Wait, now that I think about it, I forgot to dybrush the highlights before doing the weathering, oh well...

1/48 Fokker D. VII 'Ernst Udet'

Nice, looking forward to seeing the progress! I've got a 1:72 Fokker D.VII lying around in it's box, but no lozenge decals and the idea of painting the lozenge pattern scares me.. :D
