Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone had any details or measurements for the Revi16B mount used on the Me109K series.Its larger and can be rotated rather than the box type mount used on the earlier G models..:cry:

Comparing airframes the Zero is probably built at the same strength as a lot of other fighters.Both the Spitfire and Me109 have designs of the same comparable complexity and strength.

Yes the fuselage is not a traditional skin over frame design but stretched skin with formed overlapped ribs on the ends.To get the tooling for stretching the shapes would cost a fortune.

Been a while...

The 109 series didnt differ as far as frame positions I think.The cowl is different and tail if I remember correctly.

The Spitfire Restoration site has over 3000 original drawings but need a good deal of research do get the info for the frames.

Try the Flypast Historical Forums..A lot of great spitfire builders and researchers there...
