    Tony Gaze's Spitfire MkXIV codes...

Thanks again Mark. I just realised that I have a copy of 'Six Aces' - I'll check it tonight. I'm on the Middle Harbour side of Cremorne - very quiet, water glimpses etc.. Wouldn't mind a change though. Cheers, Steve

    Tony Gaze's Spitfire MkXIV codes...

Mhuxt, Thanks for your info, and apologies for the slow delay. If you have some profiles, that would be good, but I'll keep looking. I didn't know there were any Mk14's flying in Oz. I'm real close to you, just over in Cremorne. I've just taken a break from the easel, having remembered I...

    "L'il Meatie's Meat Chopper" - P.47N - need some validation...

Hi there, I've come across some conflicting research on this aircraft, which was Oscar Perdomo's ace-in-a-day mount (365thFS, 507thFG) in '45. There are a few profiles around (Osprey etc..) and a few images on the 'net. Just wondering if someone has some obscure publication out there. Areas I'm...

Schemes for Nakajima Franks based in Seoul, 1945

Clave, thanks , you are a lifesaver. They were aircraft of the 22nd and 85th Sentais, deoicted in the profiles. I will apply the finishing touches now. Here is the near-complete WIP, for anyone interested. Cheers, Steve

Schemes for Nakajima Franks based in Seoul, 1945

Hi there, Can anyone help: Looking for colour schemes of Franks based at Seoul just before the end of the war. I'm trying to complete a painting of Perdomo's ace-in-day effort, when he shot down four of them in a P.47N. Thanks, Steve

    IL-2 Sturmovik problem, need help

You really need a high-end joy stick for this program, as it is highly sophisticated. I assume you have reduced your power setting? IL2 faithfully reproduces handling characteristics of the a/c, so you are really not getting your money's worth without the right gear.

    Westland P.9 Whirlwind

I've always wondered how much more successful it would have been with Merlins. Can you imagine? Steve

Help on Me109G colours in late '44..

Hi there, I'm trying to complete a painting of some B17s of the 91st BG being attacked over Germany by 109s. I have painted 109Gs, but my research library is a bit limited on the axis side. I have books on order, but they'll be a while. The scene is B17s (all Gs) of the 323rd, (main subject...

What aircraft (any side) would you develope further

I haven't looked at every page in this thread, but did anyone venture a Westland Whirlwinf with RR Merlins? Can you imagine the beast.... I've been tempted to paint one just for myself. Cheers, Steve
