ive got a video here.. not sure if it's it or if it's a different thing
guess the runway was just a little too close
it doesnt look like the 711 though (my avatar) its blue
same thing happened with the SU-37, they never went into production and their test one crashed in an accident- thus it is also dead.. hopefully though they will take on the designation again as they upgrade the SU-35's with T-V (thrust vectoring) systems
Hmm.. it was twice as big when I first came.. I guess I could shrink it a bit more.. yeah sorry theres a ton of old stuff and I really only glanced around.
yeah its a real shame they dont have the funding, same as what i read. the F-18E is definitly better than the F-14, but I read somewheres that the F-14D won't be officially retired until 2008-10
yeah.. economically they dont have the ability to go into production (hence the death of the SU-37 *cry*) The SU-47 above is a very cool looking bird indeed. I've read a bit about it before but I don't remember the details.
S-37 is a different plane entirely (later designated SU-47) which was devoloped after the X-29.
As for the SU-27, it was the best when it was first produced, designed to surpass the F-15, which it succeeded in. It is now out of the date but has spawned a whole family of variants. The SU-35...
the F-4 was excellent for its time but is now totally outdated. in my opinion the SU-37 is definitly the best.. though it never went into production unfortunately.
as of now the F-22 is stastically the best overall (though also the most expensive) it is soon going to be surpassed though...
crimson skies is in no way a simulator, its a total 100% game. as for lock-on, I have it and well.. it's not near as good as it's cracked up to be. not many options.. the entire menu is just a bunch of pictures of the planes and big "FLY NOW!" buttons.. and most of the controls wouldnt work for...
Well if the best attack craft nowadays (in my opinion) is the A-10, then I suppose sensibly it's father the P-47 would be the best attack craft in its day.
If loaded right it could make for a good tank buster right?
That's not what my history teacher told me.. he said the jet did fly during WWII, but never entered combat. Maybe I should get an award for "most misinformed".. or just "most clueless"
