    Aircraft Identification V

thanks norab. I had originally wondered if they might have been a Typhoon variant given that air intake under the prop. However the air intake on the Typhoon was an altogether fatter affair, I should have know better. Having now Googled P-40Ns it would seem that these are reasonably accurate...

    Aircraft Identification V

I am not sure if these are even based on real planes, but I would be very interested to know what you think they are. I came across them on a ride in Walt Disney Studios, Disneyland Paris:

    RIAT WW2 Stars

There was an excellent showing of WW2 planes at the Battle of Britain tribute at RIAT. They didn't do much in terms of aerobatics, but seeing the fly round in formation was enough to keep me happy. Theses are the best of the shots I took... (see if you can spot the non WW2 plane)

    RIAT

Anybody going this weekend? Lots of WWII aircraft on display, but must admit I'm looking forward to seeing F22s, Vulcan, Eurofighter and Harrier displays the most. Hired out a Canon L lens for the occasion. Hope I make it worthwhile with some decent shots.

    1948 damaged De Havilland Mosquito

Thanks Antoni and others for the info on possible future airworthy mosquitoes. Pity that their country of origin cannot come up with an airworthy version. My brother recently moved to Canada, so will keep an eye out for a flying wooden twin engined excuse to visit him.

    1948 damaged De Havilland Mosquito

thanks guys. It is a pity there don't seem to be any flying mosquitoes in air-shows in the UK. Are you aware of any currently airworthy examples of this awesome machine?
