Your facts are sound proton. Looked em up today. Mainly, I was just saying the late 1930s shift in design theory was due in large part to the 109, and the threat/design potential it offered. Basically, other countries saw the 109, and thought "what we have in development, speed it up, or get...
When I first saw it, I was surprised how much live action there was. The BoB stuff was the only scenes worth watching, and it was great, even though there was some CGI (which didn't seem to far out). Besides this, I agree, PH was ridiculous when it came to physics and pretty much everything else.
All joking aside, and however absolutely retarted, and inaccurate the movie was(*cough* B-25 strafing scene *cough*), the Spitfire scenes in Pearl Harbor were fantastic. I wait a whole hour for them when it comes on TV
You make a very good point. I just think the 109 deserves recognition for the fact that, at least early in the war, so many fighters were measured against it.
The DCG replaces IL2 FB's default dynamic campaign, and adds a flow and continuity to the battles,as well as a greatly increased scale in terms of numbers of planes. For example: if you blow up a bridge in mission A, it wont be there in mission B, unless you set it up in the options for it to...
I would have to say any of the early 109s V series through D. They were revolutionary, and even ahead of their contemporaries (with exception to the spitfire). It was the benchmark for a critical phase in fighter design, and it has to get credit.

Every time I see Michael Caine say "Roger, here we go" in that overly-casual accent, I'm like..."yeah...I wish I was that awesome." One of the greatest movies ever.
YES!!! Some of the greatest flying scenes in any movie EVER. Love it. Have watched it since I was three years old. Its a shame all those He 111s aren't around anymore.
Funny you mention this. I was watching it just the other night.
Just wondering if anyone has had a go at the DCG (dynamic campaign generator). I have it and it works fine for about 10-15 min, as in perfectly, and without a hitch in performance. Then I have a crash to desktop moment, and that's it. Kinda curious if anyone else has this problem.
