Propeller found in the Baltic Sea

Looks like a VDM hub, maybe? Better pictures would be helpful.

    Wellington bomber specialist help needed!

Hi, looks like it's from the sea. If from UK waters, would be good to report it via the Marine Antiquities Scheme (www.marinefinds.org.uk) or at least the Receiver of Wreck to stay legal.

landing gear of what type of aircraft

Hi, Great find. It would be helpful if you could report this find through the Marine Antiquities Scheme (Welcome to the MAS).

Found on Northumberland (UK) beach. Can you help identify please.

Hi All It would be great if all marine and beach finds could be recorded here: Welcome to the MAS There's an online portal or an app to help do this. The idea is to create a database of all marine artefacts - including aircraft material - for public and academic study and interest. Thanks for...

Thanks all - yes, maybe not aircraft at all then, but worth asking the question!

Interesting. Anyone know of any historic helo crash sites in this area?

    Unknown object

It was discovered in the Thames Estuary roughly between the Isle of Grain and Foulness Island. We know there are a number of WW2 aircraft crash sites in the general vicinity, but we have no accurate position of where this came from. Recent finds include part of a parachute and a small fragment...

Hi All Anyone have any idea what this might be? The bottom scale is 10cm sections (50cm) and the side scale is 1cm sections (20cm). All suggestions gratefully received.

    Mystery Landing Gear

Thanks everyone, for narrowing this down to a Lockheed Hudson or Lodestar. I've had a quick look through some records that were to hand for a crash report of this aircraft for the area it was found in and can't find anything. I suspect it will take a detailed search, which I don't really have...

    Mystery Landing Gear

Hi all I attach images of the torque link arrangement which might help with identification. Thanks for all your help so far.

    Mystery Landing Gear

Hi everyone, Thanks for your responses, all really useful. Flyboyj that is great that the bolts can be matched. By 'period' are we talking 1939-45, or is it a bigger time-span? I'm not familiar with AC 43.13-1B; does this suggest it's a US aircraft? Thanks again.

    Mystery Landing Gear

Hi thanks for the response, The scale is in 10cm sections - so 1m in total. As far as I can tell, the axle for the wheel is at the bottom. The torque links have become detached from each other, and are on opposite sides now, presumably this happened on impact. Can't recall any nipples...

    Mystery Landing Gear

Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows what aircraft this land gear might be from. The bolts bear the word 'associates' and a star. It also has a possible (part?) number of 35410, but other than that no markings. It was recovered from the sea, we think it's WW2, but it could concievably be...
