    Orient's best: Ki-100 vs Ki-84

Ground crew really disliked the Ha-40 (Jpanese modified version Daimler Benz 601) for all the plumbing related with the coolant system. The Ha-112 of the Ki-100 was received as a blessing, because it was far more reliable, and was more alike the Japanese combat thinking. The Ha-140 planned for...

    Orient's best: Ki-100 vs Ki-84

So the Ki-100 had the better performance aginst high flying B-29s in comparison with the Ki-84? I've read that the Hayate was one of the best climbers of the Pacific War, and could reach the normal cruising altitude of the Boeing big bomber in a, relatively, short period of time.

    Orient's best: Ki-100 vs Ki-84

Hi, I’ve always been impressed by the achievements of the JAAF Type 4 Ki-84 but I’ve been reading some interesting information regarding the very Last Samurai, the Kawasaki Ki-100, it was received as a blessing by both ground crews and pilots alike. So it seems that the Ki-100 was most...

Best Tank Killer of WW2 continued

[I do not know how much armor the Hs129 had to protect the engines; what I know is the cockpit was a an actual armored box and that the Shturmovik carried about 90 kilograms more of armor] The problem was not the amount of armor the Hs-129 had protecting its engines, the engines themselves...

    He-162 vs Meteor MK-III

The Meteor III was a further development of the MkI, a proven design with some operational record (including like 13 V-1s shot down) so I'd go for the British plane, providing that it is early 1945. The problem with the He-162 is that it was a very advanced [although easy to build] design and...

    confirmation procedure

What I meant to say is that it is now very clear to me that it doesn't really matter if an air force has an accurate confirmation procedure, because it has nothing to do with winning or loosing...and if you needs heroes you can create some, to boost your peoples morale.

    confirmation procedure

Ah ok, now I got it, sorry Adler

    confirmation procedure

Isn't a confirmation procedure the same as a verification system of aircraft downed?? Ok, it's good to know Thanks Adler

    confirmation procedure

Totally agree with you Adler, verification systems and overclaiming are not winning factors..., which is true for the VVS (Soviet Air Force)...even though they (the russians) overclaimed, they won the War, which is what really matters. And according to what you are saying, it meant nothing for...

    confirmation procedure

[So I would not say the Japanese were the biggest overclaiming because they were not on the winning side] I just said that they [the japanese]made the biggest overclaiming because they didn't have a truly verification system...and what I meant was that, Japan overclaimed, but they were losing...

    confirmation procedure

Hi chaps, I guess the Japanese made the biggest overclaiming of the whole War (mainly because they didn't have a truly verification method) and besides that, Japan was not on the winning side anyways... ...and, as far as I know, but I could be totally wrong, the Soviets won the upper hand...
