As the Il-2 r/c model I am building is almost finished and ready to test (test first...color after)...I started building an Rc, 39 inches wingspan, Bf-109 F-2. The problem I have now is to find pictures of the seat area and the rear part of the cockpit. Can anyone help me? thanks in advance.

yes...Spit is beautiful...but HEY I'm Italian!! For me there's nothing sexier than 5's. Compared to the 5's, the spit looks a little awkward, especially fot the canopy (too much bubble) and the uder part of the nose. In this pic you can see what I mean: http://www.chuckhawks.com/spitnasa.jpg

On the handling I agree...the center o gravity (cg) is long before the nutral point of the wing...so the plane is more responsive to the controls like having the CG moved a little back on normal configuration. In Rc-sailplanes we move back the CG just a little before the plane is unstable to...

I know Italy was building a p38-like aircraft...but I really don't remember neither the builder nor the name of the plane. Maybe some tests of this plane helped the mistake?!? Someone remember the name of that plane...it's all the day I am thinking about it.

oh...I noticed now you're from Poland. Your nation is a great producer of real Gliders like SZD Diana, Cobra, Foka, Mucha and much more. I also own an Rc-sailplane from arthobby.pl, low-prices and they fly really good.

hello, I add to this thread because I am searching infos on p-38 used in italy. I know one was captured before 1943 (p-38g), repainted with fascist colours and used to kill a b-17 (photos?!?). Then some p-38 was used by co-belligerants after the 1943....but I have no further infos on the...

-Tanganika wood is similar to black poplar, balsa is too flexible for this use. These wings are done cutting the polystirene foam, then apply the wood (0.4mm sheet) with epoxy glue and let it under heavy weights for 10 hrs. You'll have a light and very strong wing....you can even beat someone...

cool! Thanks Wurger! this is one of the best i've seen by now. I would preferrably chose the single seater version because of its more aerodinamical shape.(and also i've just done it) The model will be 120 cm in wingspan, Wings will be in polystirene foam covered with tanganika wood...
