P-47 ~ fast, hard-hitting, suprisingly agile for its massive weight, and absorbs battle damage like a sponge!! and although i think the mustang was one of the greatest prop-driven fighters ever and performed wonderfully as an attacker (apache with a merlin), overall i think the F4U Corsair...
