Does anyone know what the Douglas SBD's (used as wing machines without the wings attached) sold for at the MGM auction? or the B-25 used in "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo"?
About 25 years ago several Ilyushin wreck were brough into England. They ended with a Jerry Cooper of Cooper Aviation around Lincolnshire. Does anyone have any information where these wrecks may have ended up? Is Cooper Aviation still in business?
Is there any information that pertains to self-destruct devices were installed in German fighter aircraft. Pictures of different wreck sites show the cockpit and center section has been destroyed by the crew after crash landing.
Bf-109 E-1 # 109.3620 was shot down when it belonged to I./JG77, 14./JG77. Would there be any records that showed which unit #3620 may have been with in 1939/40 time frame?

#109. 3620 had two sister ships (# 3619 and #3627 that were shot down over England on September 1, 1940. I am trying to find some information if #3620 was involved in the Battle of Britain or what its early history may be.
