Just busy going to all these events! It's hard work ya' know... The fly-over "preview" video is also posted now. Seventeen B-25 flying over the museum was truly surreal. Events like these really get the red white and blue flowing again.

We're up here at the Doolittle Reunion and having a blast. What an amazing group of men...and unbelievable mission. A video "preview" is up if you guys would like to follow along. I know a lot of you couldn't be here...so I'm trying to upload video/audio updates of the major events going on...
Just an FYI... If anyone is looking for Tiger Moth pics I have over 60 (detail pics) on the site. The Chipmunk pics are coming later this week. Hope these can help someone building one

Interesting... I have a picture of a FW-190 fuel tank. It seems like I remember a story about armor plating. I'll follow up with several folks and re-check the pictures.

Roman,
Bob's is a Flugwerk kit that has been passed around a bit between builders. The engine is from a Russian aircraft (name escapes me). The main wheels are nose wheels from a modern airliner...the spinner is their own creation. The cowling was modified to fit the engine... Bob has been...
Way to go Bob! That's an awesome airplane...and an awesome guy. Additionally, just a quick FYI... I just posted 180+ pictures from my visit with Mark Timken (White 1 Foundation). He's restoring what will soon be the world's only ORIGINAL flying FW-190. He also has a long nose D9 version...in...
Hugh_T,

Matt Jolley...
I'm working on a story about the 388th Bombardment Squadron. If you know anybody who flew with them please let me know. As fate would have it...I met a man who flew with them during WWII. His stories reminded me of some old A-20 pictures my father had been given. It turns out the guy flew in...
Just FYI...Mark Timken (the owner of "White 1") will be on Warbird Radio LIVE tomorrow morning. I know the FW-190 is always a hot topic here so if anyone has any questions for him...just post them on this thread and I'll make sure he gets them.
"White 1" will soon be the worlds only flying...
Thanks for posting the pic. It is a modified Neptune. The Navy loaned 7 to the USAF and then took them back after the mission was completed. Pretty cool...

I've been working this week on a story about the RB-69A (photo tour is on warbird radio). This rare spy bird seldom gets any attention. Anyway...what a cool modeling subject. I just thought you guys might be interested in it. The specs are down below. If anyone has any stories about this...
That's about all I have as well... I'm still digging. I'd like to do a series on Luftwaffe airplanes next month...thought this would be a fun airplane to research. Thanks for helping!
