Yea, me too, seems like four to eight P-47 pilots took turns Strafeing the same Loco, and all submitted a claim for the Loco?
This to me seems more likely.

So? do any members have further info on Udo Cordes Loco hunting missions?
This kite could have well benifited by a redesign of the cockpit canopy and the use of Dual rear MG's, simmular in design to the Bf110 or Ju88 rear defensive guns.
I do not know what this mess of a system weighed used by the 210-410? but I would guess cockpit mounted guns would have saved alot...
I may be wrong here, but werent the Soviet and German track scales different? I seem to remember reading somplace that the USSR track width was smaller?
This if indeed true? would take captured Russian Loco's out of the mix.
I may be all washed up on this though, and have it all confused with...
My flight two years ago in their B-17 9 0 9 cost $400.00 large. thanks dad for the flight of a lifetime.....I would guess the 262 flight is $600.00 or more?

Yes, these figures seem "Rounded Up" as Mr. Williams stated, Or total Fiction? Perhaps if a Zero was dropped from each figure it may then be (Still Unbeleivable) fathomable? 9,000 Locos???? that would average out to 9.55 rail cars per Loco?????? so in this case still not believable? Where do...
Hey E~, was wondering if you had any luck getting this done? or forgot about it? if so, here is a reminder.
I really would like to see this info, as info on Luftwaffe Train Busters is almost Nil....:(

8th may, 1945. the top 23 Luftwaffe jet aces had some 187 confirmed kills between them, Unconfirmed? how many victories did the meteor pilots have on this date? in my mind the 262 was a much better bird as it was in combat and shooting down enemy aircraft. The Meteor, What if? What if? By then...
Myself, I would have been first in line to transfer out of JG 400, I would rather have been flying the 262, 190,109 or even a JU 52. as Erich pointed out....what a wast of good pilots...so many deaths in this bird for so few kills, and so much wasted technology that could have been used better...
I agree with E~ on this, the A series had some very wild paint jobs..take a look at Hermann Graf's wild looking A-5/U7 W.Nr 2594. paint makes it hard to sneak up on someone but sure is colorful....I have never seen a Dora or TA painted like this..
