Other than the pitot tube, the number of machine guns, and the folding wings, were there any other external differences between the F4F-3 and F4F-4?

After looking at over the lists, it makes me wonder how many were left off. I noticed Lt. Edward Pogue wasn't on the list. Does this mean that the 7 kills painted on the canopy of his P-51D, Chatanooga Choo-Choo, weren't actual kills? Or did he just suffer the same fate as the submarine...
That was how tail draggers were catapulted. Search for Korean War pic of Corsairs being catapulted. They're done the same way.
Lets not forget the Mustang that the Navy tested for carrier ops. It was fitted with arrestor hook and the like.
Yes, and as you will notice, the a/c of 3 sqn seem so be on loan from the RAF, as they still retain the RAF serial number, instead of being issued a RAAF serial number. Hence the RAF markings, with the exception of the rudder.
Does anyone know if there is a list of VVS aircraft serial numbers? Main interest would be Lend-Lease aircraft. I'm starting to think that they just used the serial number that the lending country had given the aircraft, but I'm not sure. Also, does anyone know if Spitfires used by the USAAF...
I chose Open Water, mainly because my main subject of study is American submarine warfare in WW2. Granted, I could have picked ANY of those choices, but I felt Open Water fit best (was half tempted to pick Japanese Home Islands).
