The Battle of Britain, Aircrew from Australia, their Aircraft and a Modeller's Guide

May I introduce my book on The Battle of Britain, Aircrew from Australia, their Aircraft and a Modeller's Guide?

As a modeller, I was keen to model aircraft flown by "Australian" aircrew in the Battle of Britain, but first I wanted to identify these men, then their aircraft. I found conflicting information on the former, and little information on the later. I also found conflicting information on the details of the aircraft they flew - Spitfires, Hurricanes, Defiants and Blenheims, so decided to research this myself and ended up writing a book on the subject.

Perhaps written from a modeller's perspective, it nonetheless contains the stories of these amazing men and identifies the aircraft they flew. There is also a brief summary of the Battle to hopefully put their actions into perspective. The ever changing details - equipment, camouflage, markings - are described for each of these aircraft, the Spitfire, Hurricane, Defiant and Blenheim fighters. All references are noted, along with current Battle of Britain sites should the reader want to do their own research.

The book is available in the UK from The Aviation Bookshop and the Aviation Book Centre, and in Australia from BNA Modelworks, Adelaide Booksellers and Aeroworks.
