Zeamer's Eager Beavers: The Incredible True Story

This book is the culmination of over thirty years of research, including archival records critical to understanding the rule story, into the Eager Beavers and the bomber war in the SW Pacific theater in the desperate early period of 1942-1943. It includes:

• my narrative history of the crew;
• biographies of the two Medal of Honor recipients on the crew, Jay Zeamer and Joseph Sarnoski;
• and my history of the B-17 they made famous, "Old 666."

Together they are the most authoritative accounting of the crew and its history possible at this point in time. (Yes, I'm very familiar with Lucky 666. Fine writing, mostly alternative history.)
