    Italians with higher hp radials?

    Almost all Italian fighters of the early war years were radials, with the license built DBs available later, they became inlines, eg MC 200 to 202, G 50 to G 55. Do you think the Italians would have stuck with radials if they had engines of sufficient power? Could they have used the BMW 801...

    Information about PZL Waran and Legwan aircraft engines

    Does anyone have any information about the PLZ Waran (1,200hp; 9 cylinder?) and Legwan (1,400 to 1,600) hp engines. I believe they were both air cooled radials, but were they single row or double row; what displacement; were they developed from existing engines?
