Hello!

This is a 1/32 Trumpeter P-38J/L Backdated to the XP-38 Prototype.

I just finished this Start to Finish Build, it took an eternity to plan, scratch build and complete but here you go.

This is my second prototype, feel free to also check my 1/32 Revell XF4U-1 from August 25th.

Enjoy!

Jerry.

Beautiful model of a beautiful bird. My dad says he can remember vividly seeing a picture of this prototype in LIFE magazine back in the 30s and thinking that it was way ahead of everything else he'd ever seen.

Greetings hawkeye2an!

Thank you and your dad for your kind words!

I do not have the pleasure of saying hi before, but please say hi to your dad for me!

Cheers!

I like it. A nice work Jerry. :)

However I have had to delete a few double posts here and from another your thread. Please slow down. One click on the "Post Replay" button is usually enough. :)

Hi,

Thanks,

I was not sure how to delete them and keep adding more instead of deleating, thanks for getting rid of them!

Hi all,

I realized I had the prop inward rather than outwar as it should so after some surgery it has been corrected!

Enjoy

Beautiful rendition of an important aircraft. Very nicely done, Jerry. Congrats. Was the Trumpy kit hard to backdate?
