Thanks for that info Andy, you must be an infinitely patient man.

Well, I wouldn't go that far! On the contrary, I find this approach to be fairly quick and makes for a representation of what's there rather than it being an accurate pick-out of dials and numbers. The small scale allows for that.

Thanks for the comment Wayne. Did a little more last night, adding some levers and T handles. Pics once painted.

Thank-you Evan.

More pics of progress over the last couple of days, still in the cockpit:

The rather plain stick was enhanced with wire harnesses going to the firing buttons made from stretched sprue and painted black here.

The cockpit tub once again. The differences from the last time are the levers with the red knobs added in the foreground and the two red T-handles just to the left of the seat. The former were made from a piece of round stock filed flat on one side to form the box and the levers are bits of scrap PE that were cut to length and knobs added with PVA glue. The T-handles are simply stretched sprue.

Next we have the radio/nav cluster all painted up and ready to install. The bulkhead in the background received a wash of darker gray acrylic thinned with water and dishsoap

Finally, the finished instruments. The glass faces are made with Testors Clear Parts Cement which works better than Future in my opinion. I have to finish the wiring on the back of the panels as these may be seen from the glazing on the front of the aircraft.

That's it for now. Tomorrow I'll need to spend a bit of time sprucing up my He 219 for the show on Saturday and may get back to the 410 on Sunday.

Thanks for looking in.

Thanks gents. One detail in the cockpit I'm leaving off is a pair of levers again on the left side behind the throttle quadrant, possible mixture levers. These will be unseen behind the trim wheel so won't bother.

According to 'German Aircraft Interiors' Andy, the two directly behind the throttles are the RPM corrector levers, and the last two the engine isolating levers. Great work so far mate!

One would almost think the cockpit parts were for real they look so good. As for detail I think this GB is bringing some great work to the forefront of builds. Have fun at the show Andy and take two bags, one for the trophies and one for the purchases.

Thanks Evan, Vic.

Evan thanks also for clarfiying the levers as I didn't take the time to look them up. Vic, I'll try to control myself at the swap but if I see an Eduard Tempest....The so-called trophies are nothing special, just small engraved wooden blocks but that's not the point. It's a nice show in a great setting. If the weather is good, they may fire up the Lanc's Merlins. Pics Sunday.
