hey folks,

here's the fourth installment of my "Battle of Leyte Gulf" builds...

it's the SB2C Helldiver dive-bomber to be rendered in the colors of VB-20 bomber squadron assigned to the CV-6 USS Enterprise during october 1944...

doing the zinc chromate painting now...mellow yellow...

hey folks,

did the painting for the internals, which is just amazing for this kit, good enough for me to consider doing an open cockpit finish...

Very nice. The detail is as good as on a 1/48th scale kit - definitely deserves to have the canopies open.
 
anything to make this build interesting folks...

finally decided to cut out the rear cockpit panels to show a collapsed option, styrene sheets will be used to replace the panels as the original panels are a tad thick...

thanks guys...

will be spraying over the yellow interiors next with gunze H58 interior green to dull it down, before i marry the fuselage halves together...
