1/72 Airfix A6M2 Zero

Hi there!

Started this one a few days ago.

A pretty neat kit so far with a lot of nice details, I have to say. Although some minor corrections will be definitely needed here and there. Anyone has built this one yet? Not sure about the camo yet...

Here is the progress so far.

It's a good start.
The Zero was my first kit, when that I return up the hobby about 6 years ago (I think ).
It seems to be a good Airfix kit, there is nothing left but to have fun and keep learning.

Nice, the markings are for the Tsukuba Kokutai a training unit.

I've built two of their so called "re-tooled " kits so far and was quite impressed with them. A far cry from the old ones I grew up with !

Was looking at the picture Wojtek posted in one of my Zero books today and thinking that with the lower wing Hinomaru having the white surround it is quite possible the undersurfaces are in fact the Yellow-Orange trainer colour.
