So I been attit again today. Filled the gap in the wing and filled and finished the seam at the top, as well as re-scribing some of the panel lines that didsta-peared in the seam work.

Also finished the rudder hinges. The pictures show max 30 degree movement.

Thanks guys..............

I been at the engine area, exhaust and dust extractor on top.
1. The oil cooler shroud is kinda fat in the first picture. I drilled and shaved to get it a bit thinner around the opening.
2. The dust extractor cover is not as long in length as the kit piece. I filled with green filler and styrene and cut it off to length then shaped with a file and sand paper.
3. The exhausts are so different I scratched them with styrene rod and sheet.
4. You can see the misalignment in the exhaust channel and bump. This is corrected with the styrene piece.
5. Exhaust in place with blue tac and the intake for the oil cooler thinned.
6. The dust extractor housing corrected at the tail end.

I sailor on....... back to the P-40 to finish.

Thanks for looking in, and the comments.
I've added to the Stub, just haven't attached it yet.

In photo 1 you can see how thick the back of the oil cooler rad is and I've thinned it in photo 2.
In photo 3 I've used a PE saw and then flat jaw pliers to open the cowl flaps. I put some CA glue in the crack created when bending them open on the inside to support them. Worked a treat.
In photo 4 Ive added a stick of styrene between some of the rear cylinders. This is because I eliminated the support for the cowling when I opened the flaps. Now I can fit the sticks and attach the cowling to these to make an appropriate gap at the back.

Scratch building can be fun.............! It's like being an airframe shop......
