I just want to offer a salute to our Aussie comrades who fought alongside us with valiance in New Guinea and the Solomons. I wonder if the American victory at Guadalcanal would have happened had not the Australians on the Kokoda Track not had been so doughty.
Not sure one way or the other, but every day is good for honoring their service and sacrifice. Those were some fighting sonsabitches, be it Turkey, North Africa, SWPA, or Europe.
