I would choose the 190. With the more models that came out, the performance still stayed good, whereas with the 109, there was a large drop-off with the G. I've read in one of the Jane's books (and I agree) that the F should have been the last version.

You need to keep in mind why the G's and such were made.

Anti-bomber.

Bombers were the bane of the Luftwaffe. It was so bad remember, that more points were given for shooting down (or even making the bomber drop its payload early) than you would score by shooting down a single engine fighter.
