When I'm not messing about with little plastic aeroplanes I messing out in the great outdoors (slightly different scale). I'm a Duke of Edinburgh's Award instructor and have nearly completed my Mountain Leader training. If I may be so self-indulgent I'm going to post the occasional pic from my adventures in this thread.

I like to frequent the trails here with the Canadian Rockies on my doorstep but the last year has been a challenge with a lingering foot injury. I hope to get back out this year!

Not really. Stopping kids from setting fire to themselves while using Trangia stoves, mainly.

Great stuff Tony and good to see the other side of life away from the modelling table. I've walked much of the Brecon Beacons and most of Dartmoor in my time and then the Snowy Mountains when I moved south. But hiking days now over so I just holiday now, see my posts Vic's Pics and What's In My Back Garden (so to speak).. They keep me amused if nothing else.

Three day outing on the highest ground in England in sweltering heat. It was a tester alright. I didn't keep that pack, well designed and all that but the harness squeaked like a Shirebrook lass's bedsprings.
