Greetings to all, I am looking for a .50 caliber gun that has 8 grooves with a left hand twist.
The time would be Spanish civil war or postwar and Italy or Germany army.
I think it can be a 12,7x81 machine gun.

It is an important topic for me, it is for an academic work.
Thankyou.
Regards.

Isotta fraschini - LH rifling 7 grooves, which is closest to your description
Breda -RH 6 grooves
other which may match - japanese Ho-103, UK vickers .5

other MG used this caliber also used more powerful cartridge

J_P_C thank you for your helping.
I'll keep looking and haven't found it yet.

Regards.

Vickers .5-in (12.7x81) Machine Gun had a LH twist with 7 grooves and lands, from:

"Tank Training, Volume II, Part III, Pamphlet No. 3, .5-in. Vickers Machine Guns Marks IV and II 1936"
"Machine Gun Handbook (Technical) Volume I, Pamphlet No. 1, Vickers .303-in and .5-in Machine Guns and Appurtenances 1940"
