a bit of a random question for 50cal

what if an inert 50cal cartridge was filled with water, the primer cap drilled out, tapped and replaced with a bolt, and placed in a freezer?

will the expanding water push the bullet out of the cartridge?

or instead of a freezer, the cartridge is heated by a flame ? would the increased pressure force the bullet out?

Kind of depends on how good the sealant/adhesive is in the case neck.

Freeze: bulge and move the bullet slightly.
Heat: push out the bullet

You could find someone who reloads .50 rounds. They can pull the bullet without damage or drilling. A larger gun shop that sells reloading gear may know of someone who shoots big bore stuff. Maybe an armorer at a National guard armory can do it.
