Some of you may already be aware of this, but I just learned that the National Air and Space Museum has an online archive of aviation-related documents. It's a real grab-bag: there are programs from the 1930's Bendix races, accounts of women in aviation from 1940-1985, a scrapbook of the trial of Billy Mitchell, and much more. It's a little like opening up a box in your parents' attic, but if you're looking for first-hand accounts of aviation history in the U.S., it's there to dive into.
