At Aldermaston there is a museum which is only open for the people who work in the establishment. There are a number of interesting exhibits and stories which beggar the imagination when looked at from a modern perspective.
 
Very interesting clip. Note the Royal Australian Air Force Lincoln at 40:23. Its connection to the British test was that one flew into the cloud on a sampling mission. The crew were unaware of the danger they faced and subsequently became very ill at a very young age. The aircraft the RAF flew the plutonium to Australia in was a Hastings.
