I was just searching for something for a whatif/alt history idea and experienced this massive failure of AI:

Let this serve as a lesson for any users of AI search tools.
Modelers could have SO much fun with this absurdity!
I knew a former naval aviator co-owner of a Seattle area model shop. He had a sense of humor: a carrier-capable razorback P-47 and a matched set of SR-71s: Israeli and Thunderbirds.

Not surprising considering when he was in college he made a "joke" website that ranked how attractive he thought his female classmates were.

There are excerpts (read samples) for free reading at Amazon.ca now. Here's the one from the XB-24 book. You'll see it's a crap. A mix-mash of Wiki-data and other internet info with some crazy AI (in my opinion) additions. The time-line is completely fake (Ploesti Raid was in 1942 if you didn't know, but under Notable campaigns we read that the Ploesti Raid was in 1943. Great 2 Ploesti raids!). There is a gem about the Doolittle Raid, which I will not copy here - just give it a try.

Thanks for that - yes utter garbage. And not just the Doolittle Raid ("it wasn't involved") but Doolittle himself gets a mention ("he wasn't involved").

I took a look at the Martin Marauder one too, which amazingly states that there is a fully-restored B-26 Marauder "Carolyn" at Duxford, UK. Imagine everyone's surprise at that.

So yes, complete garbage.

It's "independently published". So no professional editor involved.

Yeah, that B-24 bit was complete bullshit.

The XB-24K was a one-off, along with another XB-24 and lent to the PB4Y development.
Single XB-24K IIRC plus about ten B-24Ns, all with single tails. They were visually similar to the PB4Y-2 rather than the PB4Y-1.

I did. It says " Be the first to write a review"

On what Amazon did you do it: com, ca, uk etc. Your link brings me to amazon.ca (which is where I have an account) but there are 0 reviews under this particular book.
P.S. You're faster with the answer above.
BTW checking the rest of the titles I found a new one today (another gem in the collection):
