I've read about 4-5 different reviews/builds now and everyone says that this is it, down to the curve of the floor/wing. It's not 100% but it's probably as good as it will ever get

With this kit, and the new Mustang, Sea Fury and Walrus, following on from the excellent Defiant and Hurricane kits, Airfix are really getting it together - but where's m y bl**dy Spitfire Mk.XIV ?!!!

It's not going to happen till you modify and build the existing Academy kit Terry....

Yep, and I've got one already built as a PR.19, being 'back-converted' to a Mk.XIV for a boxed, 'in flight' diorama, and another to do as a XIV which, two weeks before it's totally finished, will see Airfix release a superb Mk.XIV kit !!!
