The CRJ700 was on landing approach, after flying in from Wichita Kansas with 64 passengers and crew aboard.

The UH-60 had 3 crew aboard.

The UH-60 was on a training flight. 30 seconds before the crash, the crew was told by ATC to pass behind the CRJ, and asked by ATC if they had visual of the plane. They never responded…

Dan Gryder has been highlighting the poor state of Air Traffic Control in the USA for some time. If anything good can come from such an awful tragedy, let's hope that it's improved training, better equipment and decent pay for air traffickers.

No idea. This Dan Gryder runs a flight safety-based YouTube channel. He seems to talk a lot of sense, and in sharp contrast to many, speaks with the authority of experience.

He started a DC-3 one time and tried to run over two police officers. They were called because was driving a car across the runway.

Not sure I would consider him safety minded.
