Sir Nicholas Winton, MBE, celebrates his 100th Birthday. On this occassion, the city of Prague has estalished a Sir Nicholas Winton Park, where dozens of apple trees were planted and a Spring of Sir Nicholas Winton was made.

Nicholas Winton has saved 669 Jewish children from Nazi-threatened Czechoslovakia in 1939 and transported them to Great Britain. A big transport of 1000 Czechoslovakian Jewish children was scheduled to leave Prague for September 1st 1939...

After the WWII broke out, Winton has voluntarily joined the Royal air Force and flew Spitfires practically until the end of the war.

What he has done for the children was a mystery until his wife had coincidentally found a suitcase containg all the documents of the saved children in the late 80's...

Sir Nicholas Winton was proposed to be award with the Noble Price by Czech students.
