Happy New Year everyone! I've acquired another panel that I just can't seem to definitively ID. Looks REALLY similar to early Piper, maybe Super Cub....there are a few key points though that steer away from these.
The panel is thick, unlike early Piper panels. Most early military panels were thicker like this one. It has very early Stewart Warner gauge type cut outs in several places and a military style DG cut out. The side cuts are probably the key here......I'm thinking an early military "L" type plane. Just can't figure out which one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, very well could be. I've been searching for weeks with no luck. It's such a close resemblance to early Piper/Super Cub panels I started looking there. I can't find a part number on it either. It might be a custom modified ex-military panel. It could be RCAF as well, it is somewhat similar to a Chipmunk. There is just no telling. Everyone on this forum is so smart and experienced I thought I would post it here after I failed to determine what it's from. Thanks so much for taking a look.
