Anybody here know anything about old clocks or know anybody who does. I have inherited a few old clocks and either for insurance or sale purposes I would like to get an idea how much they are worth. Being a retired copper, I am as tight as a snare drum and I really don't feel like paying for the cow if I can get the milk for free.

You should be able to consult a reputable clock repair shop as to getting a brief description of the piece (s) in question. To assist them, please make note of any Manufacturer's markings of the face or back or internally (within the case). Familurize yourself with the various terms to describe the casing, movements, mechanisms (wind-up vs pendulum, etc) This has all been pretty basic and simple but a little knowledge will help over blind luck. Best wishes!!

check on ebay to see if you can find the make and model. you may have to look on the mechanism itself for the model. some of them can be quite expensive and well worth fixing.

there is a store in Waterloo, near the farmers market that sells clocks they should be able to help
