NEVER FORGET :salute:

Yes indeed. Australia's and New Zealand's Remembrance Day.

Significance of Anzac Day - Anzac Day Guide

This year, the New Zealand armed forces are commemmorating 70 years since their involvement in the war in the Pacific. I'm currently watching an interesting program on Pacific Islanders who served with the New Zealand armed forces during the war. Real interesting footage - RNZAF P-40s, SBDs and PBYs operating in and around Bougainville. Very moving.

Missed the dawn parade since I didn't get home from work until 5am this morning. (In case you're wondering about that last comment, the 25th has less than an hour left here.)

:salute: There are other instances of the US working with their Australian and New Zealand allies, but this sticks out to me right now. HMAS Perth which fought at Java Sea, then went down with USS Houston at Sunda Strait.
